How do I charge and store the batteries?Updated 2 months ago

LiPo batteries require more care than other battery types. Follow these tips to ensure their longevity:

  • Charge the batteries fully only right before your session.
  • Never leave batteries completely empty or fully charged overnight, as this can shorten their lifespan.
  • If you won’t be using the batteries for an extended period, set them to Storage Mode (2–3 LED lights). 
  • Perform a full charge cycle at least every 3 months and then set the batteries back to Storage Mode.
  • Remove the batteries from the charger as soon as the charging or discharging process is complete.



Charging the batteries:

  1. Switch on the charger.
  2. Insert the batteries into the dock (check + and -). The batteries must be switched off.
  3. Press the round buttons on the charger.


Charging or discharging to storage mode (2 or 3 LED lights):

  1. Switch on the charger.
  2. Insert the batteries into the dock.
  3. Turn on the batteries.


Meanings of the indicator light on the charger adapter:

 🟢   Charger is ON

 🔴   Batteries are charging

 🟢   Batteries are fully charged


Meanings of the round button indicator lights:

 🔵   Charger is ON

  Discharging a charged battery to Storage Mode

  Charging a low battery to Storage Mode

 🔵   Battery is in Storage Mode


Warnings:

  • This charger is for lithium polymer (LiPo) batteries only. Misuse may result in fire, explosion, or serious injury.
  • This charger is designed for use only with the compatible Duotone Foil Assist batteries. Do not use it with other batteries.
  • Always inspect the batteries before use or charging. 
  • Do not connect the charger if the batteries or cables are damaged.
  • Never leave a battery charging unattended. Monitor the charging process regularly.
  • Only use the charger indoors in a dry, well-ventilated area on a non-flammable surface.
  • Do not charge the batteries near flammable materials.
  • Recommended charging temperature: 10 – 40 °C / 50 – 104 °F. Operation above 40 °C or 104 °F may cause fire or explosion.
  • Store the batteries between 15 °C and 25 °C (59 °F - 77 °C) in a cool, dry place. Avoid high humidity, direct sunlight or heat sources.
  • Do not charge or use the batteries at low temperatures. Operation below 0 °C / 32 °F can cause permanent damage.
  • Never attempt to charge a swollen, damaged, or leaking battery.
  • Disconnect the charger immediately if overheating or smoke is detected.
  • Do not disassemble the charger or batteries. Risk of electric shock or damage.
