The motor seems to be lacking power. What can I do?Updated 2 months ago
Possible Causes
- The batteries may not be charged equally.
- The motor or ESC might not be secured firmly to the mast.
- There could be excessive movement of the motor bell on the motor.
- The propeller blades may be damaged or incorrectly installed.
- Worn bearings could be restricting rotation.
Actions
1. Confirm that both batteries are fully charged and used as a matched pair (indicated on the batteries).
⚠ Note: Using an old battery that hasn’t been regularly stored in Storage Mode together with a new battery can cause issues. However, if the older battery is healthy and properly stored, pairing it with a new one will work fine.
2. Tighten all motor and ESC mounting screws.
3. Check for any play between the mast pod and the motor or ESC.
4. Ensure the motor bell is installed correctly and spins smoothly.
5. Inspect the propeller blades for damage and correct installation, making sure they fold and unfold effortlessly.
6. Spin the motor by hand and listen or feel for grinding; if grinding is present, replace the bearings.
