What foil and size are suitable for Wake Foiling?Updated 2 months ago

For Wake Foiling, foils with a medium aspect ratio (AR 7-9) are generally the most suitable. Since the waves are often rather small, the foil should provide a certain amount of "glide." However, to utilize the wave for turns, the foil should also be easily maneuverable and not too stretched.
The size of the foil depends heavily on the rider's weight, the wake of the boat, and the skill level of the foiler. Typically, foils with an area between 800 and 1200 cm² are appropriate.
