What is Downwind Foiling?Updated 2 months ago

Downwind foiling involves utilizing the waves created by the wind to glide for many kilometers, powered solely by wave energy and occasional pumping actions. Most downwind foilers use a paddle for the initial take-off onto the foil. However, using wings and kites has become increasingly popular, as it simplifies the challenging starting process that comes with paddling. Recently, more downwind enthusiasts have been incorporating para-wings for launching or electrically assisted "foil assists" into their rides.
