Protect each component individually
To minimize the risk of damage, we recommend protecting each part of your gear separately:
Board: Pack your board in a board bag such as the Wing Boardbag Mid-length (42260-7013), or at least pad the nose and tail with towels, a wetsuit, cardboard, or other protective material.
eMast: Use the eMast Cover
⚠️ Important: Do not bend the cable near the mast top plate. Bending it 90 degrees can cause serious damage.Motor Bell and Propeller: Use the Motor Bell and Propeller Cover
Wing Set: Use a Wing Set Cover
Fuselage: Use a Fuselage Cover
eHarness: You can place the eHarness in the board bag without any additional protection.
Watch Ring Remote & Charger Cable: Keep the remote control in your carry-on luggage and make sure not to place any heavy objects on it.
Charger: Wrap it in foam from the original packaging or a towel, and make sure it stays dry; avoid placing any heavy items on top of it.
Batteries: Must be carried in your hand luggage when flying. Always get airline approval in advance to avoid any issues at the airport. For detailed guidance, check out our article: How Do I Travel by Air with the Foil Assist?
By taking these precautions, your gear will hopefully arrive in perfect condition at your destination, so you can spend more time on the water and less time worrying about gear damage.
