How do I assemble the Foil Assist Mast?Updated 2 months ago
Your eMast set includes a practical 2-in-1 Torx key that you can use to tighten the top plate, the V cable fastener, and the fuselage.
How to mount the eMast on your board

Place the two smaller pre-assembled track nuts and screws into the rear end of the foil tracks.

Next, install the four larger track nuts and screws:
- Aluminum Mast: The holes in the base plate are open to the side, so you can easily slide the screws in and tighten them.
- D/LAB Mast: The holes in the base plate are closed. You’ll need to first remove the screws from the track nuts, insert them through the holes, and then tighten them again.

Place the mast on the board and tighten the screws.
Then place the V cable holder over the cable. Slide the cable hose to the side if it is in the way. The large holes of the holder go over the screws. Pull the holder slightly backward and tighten the screws.

Additional cable securing for downwind boards
⚠ Note: For downwind boards or boards with a long tail, you should use the 3M cable holder in addition to the V-holder to ensure the cable is securely fixed and does not touch the propeller.
How to apply it:
- Clean the board surface with the alcohol wipe and let it dry.
- Remove the paper backing from the adhesive pad (do not touch the adhesive side).
- Press the holder firmly onto the board for 30 seconds.
- Let it cure overnight.

Mounting the motor bell
❗ Warning: Before every session, check that the three motor screws are tightened. They may loosen due to motor vibrations.

Carefully attach the motor bell to the stator; the magnetic connection will snap it into place.
❗ Warning: The magnets are very strong. Be careful with your fingers when attaching the motor bell.

Mounting the fuselage
You can now attach your fuselage. If you are using one of the two aluminum masts, you must insert the adapter into the mast before mounting the fuselage.

⚠ Maintenance tip: After each session, remove the fuselage from the eMast and rinse all parts with fresh water. This prevents corrosion on the mast, fuselage, and adapter.
