How do I install the power cable and leash?Updated 2 months ago
All eMast Sets come with a regular power cable and leash. This power cable connects the batteries in the battery box on the eHarness to the motor on the mast. It runs along the shorter leash from the eHarness to the top plate of the mast.
The leash connected to the rider’s harness is designed to prevent separation from the board, limit cable over-extension, and reduce the risk of accidents or damage.
Here's how you install the cable and leash to your eHarness and board:

Attach the leash carabiner to the eHarness.
❗ Warning: Always check before entering the water if the leash carabiner is fastened to the eharness.

The connectors will only fit when the notches are properly aligned.
⚠ Ensure that the connector lock is secure and properly engaged. When turning the lock, some force may be necessary to achieve a watertight seal.

⚠ Always make sure the twistlock is fully engaged for a watertight seal before entering the water.
⚠ Make sure to place the connector caps back onto the battery box and cable to protect them from sand and dirt when not in use. Before doing so, ensure the caps are clean and dry.
Two leash strings are included with the leash (the Midfish has two leash plugs). Attach the leash string(s) to the leash plug(s) on your board and secure the rail saver of the leash. Next to the leash strings, you will find a bungee cord loop pre-installed on the rail saver. It keeps the cable away from the propeller.
Follow these steps if the bungee cord loop becomes undone or needs to be replaced:

| Wrap the bungee cord loop around the cable. | Insert the rail saver through the bungee cord loops. |

| Insert the railsaver through the leash string(s), then close the Velcro flaps around the bungee cord and string(s), ensuring it is tight and will not come undone. |
⚠ Make sure to install the bungee cord cable fastener correctly. It is essential to keep the cable away from the propeller while riding.
