The motor is not turning smoothly.Updated 2 months ago
Possible Causes
- The motor may not have been rinsed sufficiently after use.
- Lack of maintenance and lubrication can also cause issues.
- Bearings might be rusted or worn.
- The inner coating of the motor bell could be damaged, or the motor surface itself may be compromised.
- Loose motor or ESC screws on the mast can also lead to problems.
Actions
- Tighten all motor and ESC screws on the mast.
- Inspect the motor and bearings for corrosion or rust, then clean and lubricate them.
- Spin the motor by hand and listen or feel for grinding; if grinding is present, replace the bearings.
- Check the inside of the motor bell for coating wear; if damaged, refurbish the motor bell or replace it.

- Inspect the motor surface for swelling or deformation; if present, refurbish the motor or replace it.
- Finally, check for motor wobble or excessive vibration when spinning; if wobbling occurs, test using an alternative motor bell.
